European Monitoring Conference in Brussels.

The Workmentor Project was invited to the European Monitoring Conference Work Based Learning and Apprenticeships on 11-12 February 2014 at MCE – Management Centre Europe, Rue de l'Aqueduc 118 / Waterleidingsstraat118, 1050 Brussels.

The invitation was for the project coordinator Jóhannnes Árnason to attend the conference and take part in making the results from projects visible. The invitational letter states that : "there is an international trend towards the reappraisal of Work Based Learning (WBL) in vocational education and training and even in higher education. EU policy documents increasingly emphasize the importance of apprenticeships, traineeships and other forms of WBL, focusing on the need to foster cooperation between education and business."

A draft of the agenda for the conference.

The Workmentor project will be introduced at the conference like many other projects but it will also be introduced at one of the workshops namely a workshop on ‘The role of Teachers and Trainers in Work Based Learning’.

Jóhannes Árnason accepted the invitation and will speak at this workshop.

His presentation is here: A presentation of the Workmentor Project in Brussels February 2014.
